If you’ve never visited Jackson Bible Church, we’d love to meet you. Here is what a Sunday morning service is like, so you know what to expect when you walk in.
The Sunday Morning Service
Our morning service begins at 11am and usually runs until about 12:30. We sing, pray, and read Scripture together, and the heart of the service is the preaching of God’s Word. Our pastor typically preaches expositionally, walking through a book of the Bible verse by verse, so we encourage you to bring your Bible and follow along.
Families worship together
We want to be as family-integrated as possible, so we encourage families to stay together in the worship service. Little ones are welcome, and we know they will be little ones. A nursery is provided if you would rather use it.
When you arrive
You’ll find us at 102 McElmurray Farm Rd. in Jackson, with plenty of parking right on the church grounds. Come as you are; you are welcome whether you have been in church all your life or are visiting for the first time. If you arrive a little early, you’re welcome to come into the sanctuary and join our Prayer Meeting at 10am, and Sunday School is available for ages 3–12.
AWANA Children’s Ministry
On Sunday evenings, from 5:30 to 7:15pm, we dedicate ourselves to laying a gospel foundation for children and youth ages 2 through 12th grade. We have fun playing games and eating snacks together, but our main goal is to teach sound doctrine to all of the children under our care during that time. We encourage them to memorize Scripture with a fun point system and try to help them see the world through a biblical worldview.
Wednesday Night Bible Study
This midweek Bible study is held in our fellowship hall from 5:30 to roughly 7pm. Currently, Pastor Isaac is leading us through the book of Acts, section by section. There are opportunities to interact and ask questions, since it is a more informal setting.
What we believe
We are a Reformed Baptist church, and we hold to the historic Christian faith as summarized in our Articles of Faith. We would be glad to talk with you about any of it.
